I have a deep freezer full of milk since January 2024! About 500 oz and still pumping. My baby was born June 2023, we are both very healthy (and he is a fat boy from my milk). I pump with very strict guidelines as followed by the CDC. I am a neonatal ICU nurse and understand the importance of cleanliness and sterilization of parts and I change my parts every 3 months.
I donated my milk for my first born to the NY milk bank and plan to do it again. I have to get blood work and approval from my OB Gyn and my child’s pediatrician to be able to donate my milk.
My son exclusively breastfeeds and doesn’t drink my milk from a bottle so I have excess milk from pumping at work.
